Job: Installation of RSJ and ‘knock-through’

This job was slightly different to most ‘knock-throughs’ in the fact that the RSJ needed to be sunk into the ceiling and the joist need to be cut into the steel.

We started by supporting the ceiling either side of the existing wall; this allowed us to knock down the wall.

We filled in the steel with timber so that we could fit joist hangers to support existing joists in ceiling

We could then make good, plasterboard and plastered the whole area.

Once again the customer was completely satisfied and was very impressed with the standard of work and cleanliness.
